[Warning] Please be aware of fake websites pretending to be our university
We have identified websites that impersonate our university’s student information portal and course registration system.
In addition, there have been reports that such fake websites may appear at the top of search results when searching for keywords related to “Kyoto Institute of Technology” on search engines such as Google.
These fake sites are designed to closely resemble the official website and may be difficult to distinguish at first glance.
Accessing these sites may expose your device to malware. Furthermore, entering personal information or login credentials on such sites could result in unauthorized access or data leakage.
Please exercise caution and refrain from entering any personal or login information on suspicious websites.
■ Official university domain
The official domain of the university’s website is:
“kit.ac.jp” (e.g., https://.kit.ac.jp or https://.kit.jp)
Fake websites use domain names that differ from “kit.ac.jp.”
Please note that some fake websites may use domain names that closely resemble “kit.ac.jp.”
Some legitimate university services may use domains other than “kit.ac.jp.”
If you are unsure, please access the website through the official university website or the student information portal.
When accessing links from emails, search engines, or external websites, always check that the domain name is “kit.ac.jp.”
If anything seems suspicious, do not access the site or click on the link.
【What to do if you encounter a fake website】
● If a fake website appears in search results:
→ Do not access it, as it may expose your device to malware.
● If you have accessed a fake website:
→ Close your browser immediately and run a full scan using your antivirus software.

Suspicious example: https://www.******.jp/fake.php?id=kit.ac.jp
(→ “kit.ac.jp” appears outside the domain)
Suspicious example: https://www.***.kit.***.com/
(→ Domain resembles “kit.ac.jp” but is not the same)
● Check for unnatural language
Websites with typos, grammatical errors, or unnatural Japanese/English may be fraudulent.
● Use official access points
Always access university services via the official website or student portal, rather than through search engines.
