Shared Facilities

  • Shared Computers

    Dual-booting Linux/Windows PCs are available at CIS or some other facilities.
    Furthermore, short-term rental of various computer accessories (peripherals) are also provided.

  • Shared Printers(for printing)

    All shared Computers at the study room(CIS), the seminar room(CIS & 5IS), are connected to shared printers. You can print documents by using them.

  • Shared Printers(for scanning)

    All shared Computers at the study room(CIS), the seminar room(CIS & 5IS), are connected to shared printers. You can scan documents by using them.
    Scanned Data will be saved to the Folder(Z:\Scan) as a PDF File or will be sent to your e-mail address.

  • Print-on-demand(POD)

    You can print to the CO-OP shared printers at your own expense by using your Windows computers connected to our campus network(KITnet).

  • Large format printing

    CIS offers a large-format poster printing service in a range of sizes from A2 – A0, B3 – B0.

  • Front-end Server

    Scientific computing, compiling programs are available on the server.
    ※Using SSH public key authentication allows you to connect Front-end Server from outside KIT.
